Une espèce guyanaise du complexe Epidendrum nocturnum (Orchidaceae) à feuilles révolutées et clarification du nom Epidendrum purpureocaulis

À l’occasion d’un inventaire réalisé en 2013 et d’examens approfondis, un spécimen atypique d’Epidendrum du groupe E. nocturnum s’est révélé nouveau pour la science. Ce taxon, qui porte à sept le nombre d’espèces de ce groupe en Guyane, est ici décrit, illustré et comparé aux espèces les plus proches. Une clé de détermination de ces sept espèces est également proposée. Une brève discussion est proposée au sujet du taxon E. carpophorum, décrit par Barbosa Rodrigues, en lien avec les populations guyanaises. Une clarification nomenclaturale est par ailleurs apportée concernant le nom Epidendrum purpureocaulis, taxon du groupe E. nocturnum, modifié parfois de manière incorrecte en E. purpureocaule.
Abstract
During an inventory conducted in 2013, followed by in-depth examinations, an atypical specimen of Epidendrum from the E. nocturnum group was revealed to be new to science. This taxon, which brings to seven the number of species in this group in French Guiana, is described here, illustrated and compared to the closes species. A key to determining these seven species is provided. A brief discussion is provided on the taxon E. carpophorum, described by Barbosa Rodrigues, in relation to the French Guianan populations. A nomenclatural clarification is also provided concerning the name Epidendrum purpureocaulis, taxon of the E. nocturnum group, sometimes incorrectly modified to E. purpureocaule.
